Gamescom 2021: What Was Announced?

The Gamescom 2019 Expo was held at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, from August 23rd to August 29th. In 2021, there were a lot of big games proposed, including a new trailer for God of War, but also a whole raft of other games. New games are announced every year at Gamescom, but we also want to know the games from the years before.

Gamescom, the biggest gaming expo in the world, announced the world’s smallest phone. It was called the Galaxy S21 and would be Samsung’s smallest phone.

Each year, the German game industry goes to the famous games convention “Gamescom,” Each year, the event is full of new games to watch out for and new tech to be excited about. In 2021, “Gamescom” would have been held from the 21st to 25th August as a physical event but was forced online due to circumstances relating to the pandemic. The games industry would certainly have come out swinging. Here’s a look at some of the noteworthy announcements.

What is Gamescom?

Gamescom is a massive gaming event that takes place every year in Cologne, Germany. In recent years it has grown in size and popularity, attracting a massive number of gamers and press from all over the world. According to the ESA, Gamescom is the second-largest event for the worldwide video game industry after E3.

Gamescom is one of the largest gaming events in the world, and in 2021 was scheduled for August 20-23 in Cologne, Germany. It was dubbed “Gamescom 2021″ with no date set for the event at that point. The previous year’s Gamescom was held in Leipzig, Germany, and I attended the event myself. Keep reading for a rundown on what was proposed for the 2021 event.

Most Anticipated Games Announced for Gamescom 2021

We had been waiting a while to find out what new games and game announcements were coming to Gamescom.

It had been a few months since Gamescom, and the games industry has been getting ready for an exciting year. Most of the biggest AAA games were announced, and most of them would be released in the coming year. But of all the games announced for the show, which one would you have most looked forward to?

Although many moments have to happen to call something a success, the biggest moment of them all would have been the revelation of what is shown here. The gaming world had been anticipating the announcement of the games that were to be showcased at the event, and the announcements soon to be made. We had expected a lot of these games to be shown at Gamescom 2021.

Cult Of The Lamb

In the past few years, there’s been a controversial trend in the gaming industry, where games are being labeled as either  “mature,” “adult,” “hardcore,” “difficult,” “challenging,” or “retro.”

Death Cathedral

Death isn’t fun to play, and it isn’t fun to talk about. Heck, it’s not even fun to think about. But it’s even less fun to die. And it’s not fun to die in a videogame. You can be super cool or bad in the game, maybe even a hero, but death is inevitable no matter how hard you try.

DokeV

This is a peek into the future of gaming. Instead of the DokeV being a “game console,” it will be a home computer. It will be open for development and building, and the whole platform will run on Linux.

So far, Gamescom has revealed a lot of games, but only a fraction of them have been shown in action. It was announced that there would be a new Transformers game and some other non-graphics-related games that may be unveiled at E3. There would be a new game called “DokeV.” This is not a brand new game, but a game that was being developed by the same team as the “Grand Kingdom” PlayStation game.
